APPOINTMENT POLICIES
LATENESS
If you are running more than 15 minutes late for any appointment we have the right to refuse to carry out the treatment if we think a shortened treatment would not be beneficial or would compromise the integrity of our skills.
We would rather be able to offer you something within the remaining time but please be aware that the full treatment price will still be payable.
BOOKING FEES
If you are a new client you will be required to make a booking fee payment of 50% of your booking total. This will secure your appointment and be taken as full or part payment for any late cancellations under 24hrs as per the cancellation policy.
We will send you a link via email or text to make this payment online or via Paypal. This is not an automated service so there may be a delay between when you book and when you receive the payment link. Failure to make this payment may result in your appointment being cancelled automatically.
PRICES
Treatment prices are non-negotiable and discounts are at the discretion of the business owner. Beauty About Town retains the right to alter prices without prior notice. All mobile appointment will incur an additional travel charge. Within busy periods (Summer, Christmas & New Year) the business owner may ask for a deposit or full payment for popular weekend or evening appointments.
REFUNDS
Please be aware that we do not offer refunds. If you have any issues please contact us within 48hrs post treatment and we will accommodate as best we can & fix it free of charge.
PAYMENTS
All payments for treatments must be made in full upon completion of your treatment. We accept all major credit & debit cards including American Express, Paypal, & cash. If paying via card, the therapist may need access to a WiFi connection if you are not in a 3G covered area. If you are using a gift voucher please bring this with you to your appointment.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
We hope that you are happy with the treatments that we provide, However if you are unhappy in any way please do not hesitate to contact us straight away so we can rectify any problems as soon as they occur.
CANCELLATIONS
Beauty about Town requires 24 hours notice, by phone, text, email, or social media, if you need to cancel your appointment. If not you will be charged 50% of your treatment cost if we are unable to re-sell the reserved treatment time. If a client cancels within 24 hours without prior notice, the business owner retains the right to charge a cancelation fee or full payment upon their next booking.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
On booking a treatment with Beauty bout Town, you must discuss any medical conditions, pregnancy or if you are breast feeding with your therapist and at the time of your booking. If you have any uncertainty you must seek medical advice from your doctor. Please be aware that some conditions will mean you cannot have certain treatments and you may not be able to have a treatment that day or we will suggest an alternative treatment. This will not be discounted.
DATA SECURITY/PHOTOS
Personal details taken from clients during booking procedures will be kept safe and in the strictest confidence. We would, on occasion like to send you details of special promotions. If you would rather not receive these please let us know.
We retain the right to post any photos/videos taken by us on our website & social media. If you would rather not have your photo taken please let us know.
MOBILE APPOINTMENT POLICIES
MOBILE BEAUTY ETIQUETTE
We may arrive up to 10 minutes before the start of your treatment. This will allow time to set up the equipment. If for any reason we are running late for reason out of our control we will contact you. Once we are inside your house any significant time taken out to tend to deliveries, children, pets or work that becomes a disturbance during the treatment will be taken off your treatment time.
FRIENDS & FAMILY
We understand that you may wish to bring friends or family to attend your appointment, we please ask that this is kept to a maximum of one other adult for health & safety reasons.
This includes children of all ages. While we understand this can be frustrating it is a safety issue for both us & your child. Please ensure you have childcare arranged prior to your appointment. If we have to reschedule on the day you will be liable for the cancellation fee.
SPACE FOR TREATMENT
If under unusual circumstances a treatment is booked and there is not enough space to perform the treatment safely, an alternative treatment or an arrangement will be made. We cannot take any responsibility for any treatment not carried out due to lack of space.
PARKING
It is the client’s responsibility to be able to provide or advise parking prior to booking an appointment. Time spent by us trying to find suitable parking if not advised by the client may be deducted from total treatment time.
MALE CLIENTS
Please note that Beauty about Town will only accept Male Clients from a current client recommendation or for couples treatments. Due to the nature of mobile treatments. Beauty about Town retains the right to refuse service to a male client for our own safety.
ADDITIONAL TRAVEL
Beauty about Town covers a large radius for mobile appointments within Essex, Hertfordshire and North East London, because of this all mobile appointments will incur a small travel charge.
TREATMENT RESTRICTIONS.
Due to insurance we do have some treatment restrictions that we must abide by. These are listed below. Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
PREGNACY.
During the first 12 weeks of pregnancy we cannot offer you any treatments. After 12 weeks have past we can then offer you most treatments. Below you can find a list of treatments that we cannot offer or have stipulations.
NAIL SERVICES - We can offer both gel polish and OPI polish treatments to you, however we cannot provide massage as part of the manicure/pedicure service. We will adjust the treatments according per each individual.
TINTING - After 12 weeks we can perform this treatment providing you have a new patch test. We also require you to have a new patch test after giving birth and after you have finished breastfeeding if this applicable to you.
LASH LIFT - We cannot perform this treatment until you are no longer pregnant and have finished breastfeeding if this applicable to you.
BROW LAMINATION - We cannot perform this treatment until you are no longer pregnant and have finished breastfeeding if this is applicable to you.
MINORS.
If you are a minor you may not be able to receive the full range of treatments. Please see the list below as to which treatments you can have. You will also need to get a PARENTAL CONSENT FORM signed prior to any treatment. If you are under 16, you will also need a parent/guardian present.

Personal information provided is stored for our own records only and will not be disclosed to third parties.
Personal information is limited to your name, phone number, address, email address & social media. These details are only known to us if you complete the client record form.
We will only use you contact information in order to contact you. We never give or sell customer details to third parties.
